ABOUT US



Kokorozashi Dojo is an Authentic Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate Dojo. We have been operating in Mathews County since 2012, either through the local YMCA, or Boys and Girls Club, and now in our beautiful Dojo. Since 2012, we have been committed to the pursuit of excellence through Authentic Karate training, and high levels of competition, with several National Champions!


At Kokorozashi Dojo, we are committed to the preservation of traditional Authenic Okinawan karate as it was taught by the many Sensei that have come before us! We are proud to be members of  strong organizations, Goju Ryu Shobukan (Karate), and the Zen Okinawa Kobudo Renmei (Kobudo), which keep us connected to history, and a long unbroken lineage of Okinawan Martial Arts!
